Adobe Acrobat Distiller is a computer program for converting documents from PostScript format to Adobe PDF format, the standard format of the Adobe Acrobat family of products. It was first delivered in 1993 as a component of Acrobat. In the Acrobat 4 version, preset configuration files were supplied in 1999; in the Acrobat 5 version, an improved color management was added in 2001 . Originally developed as a standalone application, it was later shipped as part of a printer driver that preserves the original appearance of the documents when creating PDF files from file formats from other applications.

In 2000, the Acrobat Distiller Server was introduced as a related product. It provided the ability to convert large volumes of PostScript documents into PDF files via a centralized client-server architecture. In 2013, this software was discontinued in favor of the PDF generator component from Adobe LiveCycle .
