Adolf Heinrich Karl Steinmetz (born January 14, 1868 in Durlach , † 1919 in Montigny-lès-Metz ) was an architect and a member of the second chamber of the regional assembly of Alsace-Lorraine .

Adolf Heinrich Karl Steinmetz attended the Protestant elementary school, the secondary school and the Technical University of Karlsruhe . He then worked as an architect for authorities and construction companies. From 1892 he was a partner, from 1903 sole owner of a construction business in Montigny (Metz district).

From 1902 he was a member of the local council and mayor (later he became honorary mayor). He was a member of the road construction commission of the Metz-Land district and from 1902 a member of the board and from 1908 chairman of Sect. VI (Lorraine) of the Southwest Construction Trade Association. From 1908 he was captain of the Landwehr i. A.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran as an independent candidate in the constituency of Montigny-Sablon. In the first ballot, 4,769 votes were cast in the constituency of the 6,125 eligible voters. The center candidate Dr. The right was 2,022, the stonemason 1,987 and the Social Democrats 750 votes. In the runoff election, Steinmetz won against Dr. Rech, who received 2,241 votes. Adolf Heinrich Karl Steinmetz was a member of the state parliament until 1918. The Landtag handbook describes it as independent and progressive.
