Adrian Ramsauer (born May 20, 1959 , resident in Winterthur and Herisau ) is a Swiss lawyer, politician ( Greens ) and author. Ramsauer runs a law firm in Winterthur. He is II. Vice-President of the District Council of Winterthur (supervisory, legal remedies and judicial complaints body in matters relating to the protection of children and adults).

Career

In 1995 he was one of the first outed members of parliament in Switzerland as a member of the City Council of Winterthur . He launched environmental and gender equality policy initiatives, presided over the parliamentary group with members of the Greens , the Alternative List , the Democratic Party / The Other Party and the National Ring of Independents, and held two commission presidencies . As an LGBT activist, he advertised across Switzerland in 1996 on a poster campaign by the advertising agency Schmid & Hostettler & Fabrikant on behalf of the Passugger mineral water brand with the slogan "I want to be allowed to marry my friend / Je veux pouvoir épouser mon ami / Chiedo il diritto di poter sposare mio campagno" for the legal equality of same-sex relationships. He drafted a proposal for the introduction of same-sex marriage into the Swiss Civil Code. In response to a parliamentary proposal submitted by him, the first anti-discrimination norm was introduced in Swiss law. The staff statute of the City of Winterthur, issued on April 12, 1999, enshrines an obligation to promote tolerance and acceptance of employees who may be disadvantaged due to their gender orientation. As a district attorney, he established the point of contact for the judicial and police authorities for homophobic victims of violence in Zurich, Zug and Winterthur. A criminal case against him for sexual acts with children, which was conducted against him without sufficient suspicion, was discontinued and Ramsauer was rehabilitated by the higher court of the Canton of Zurich. In addition to book and magazine articles, legal and political writings, satires and cabaret programs, Ramsauer publishes books on topics relating to the history of the railway. He is a dispatcher at the Zürcher Oberland Steam Railway Association .
