Adrian Smith

Adrian Smith (born August 19, 1944 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American architect . His work includes the Burj Khalifa , which is currently the tallest building in the world with a height of 828 meters.

Smith studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1969 .

From 1968 he worked for the Skidmore, Owings and Merrill office for almost four decades , most recently as a partner, until he founded his own office with Gordon Gill and Robert Forest in 2006.
