Adrian Szabo (born June 17, 1960 ) is a Romanian football coach at FC Brașov . Before he took over the main team, he was the head coach of the youth club and looked after the youth groups there.

Career

Player career

Szabo began playing football at the age of ten in the youth of Steagul Roșu Brașov . In 1978 he was promoted to the squad of the first team that played in Divizia B at the time . At the end of the 1979/80 season he rose to Divizia A with his club . However, he left the club for local rivals ICIM Brasov in the Divizia C . With ICIM he rose to Divizia B in 1981, but had to relegate with his team a year later. Another rise followed in 1985. A year later he left the club to Precizia Săcele . There he played for two years in Divizia C before ending his career in 1988.

Coaching career

After the end of his active career, Szabo worked as a football coach. First he worked for his previous clubs Precizia Săcele and ICIM Brașov before he went to Iran for two years in 1995. In 1998 he returned to Romania and has held various positions at FC Brașov ever since .
