Adrian Yates-Smith

Adrian Yates-Smith (born June 4, 1945 - October 4, 2005 ) was a British racing car driver .

Racing career

Adrian Yates-Smith was active in British club sports in the late 1970s . He achieved some successes with his privately registered Porsche 911SC . He celebrated his greatest successes in international sports car racing in the sports car world championship . He finished the 6-hour race at Brands Hatch in 1980 in sixth place overall. In 1981 he finished third overall in the 1000 km race on the Nürburgring with his partners Bob Wollek and Preston Henn in a Porsche 935K3 . He died of a heart attack in October 2005 .
