Adriano Torres

Adriano Galang Torres Jr. ( 1916 - January 11, 1997 in Manila ) was a badminton player from the Philippines .

Career

Adriano Torres was next to Sy Khim Piao the most important badminton player in the Philippines in the 1950s. He won the Philippine Badminton Championships in men's singles in 1949, 1950, 1953, 1954, 1957 and 1958. In doubles with Raymond Bayot , he was successful four times in a row from 1954 to 1957. He won the mixed competition in 1953 with Consuelo G. Paredes .
