Adrienne Catherine Haan (born April 7, 1978 in Essen ) is a German- Luxembourgish actress , singer , author and producer who appears in theater , cabaret and concerts .

Adrienne Catherine Haan was born on April 7, 1978 in Essen, Germany. She has dual citizenship in Germany and Luxembourg and is the holder of the US Green Card.

Career

Haan graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1999. She studied at the Juilliard School in New York City and at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. She received an MA in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching from St. Mary's University in Twickenham, London.

Adrienne Haan - Tehorah - Carnegie Hall, NYC

Haan is an actress and singer who specializes in music from the 1920s and 30s, but who is also at home in many different genres. Since 1999 she has performed in cabaret and concert stages in the US, Europe, Israel and Australia, where she is known for historically accurate interpretations of songs in English, Germany, Hebrew, Yiddish and French. In 2019 she made her debut in Turkey, where she performed on Europe Day 2019 for the European delegation in Ankara and with her pianist in the Palais de France in Istanbul, where she sang the homage to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk , “Yiğidim Aslanım”. She toured China with her show Broadway Rock Hall. She and Tehorah celebrated the 50th anniversary of German-Israeli diplomatic relations with another encore in Washington DC on her Carnegie Hall debut. Haan also led Tehorah as part of the Luxembourg Presidency for the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) at the Warszawa Singera Jewish Festival in Warsaw at Nowy Teatr in Lodz, Poland, and at the White Synagogue in Wroclaw, Poland, under the auspices of the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy Luxembourg in Poland. She also performed several times in the US embassy in Luxembourg and toured Israel with the Netanya Orchestra through 6 cities. She has performed in various locations in New York City including Cafe Sabarsky, 54 Below, Joe's Pub where she premiered her show Voluptuous Weimer with Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks, as well as the Metropolitan Room and Triad Theater NYC, where she was an artist in Residence is. She played Cabaret Français at the Luxembourg Embassy in Washington DC in March 2019, her Kurt Weill Soirée with the Dan Levinson Sextet and Weimar Berlin Soirée Berlin, Mon Amour with the French singer and dancer Magali Dahan. In New Mexico she appeared at the Santa Fe Jewish Film Festival.

Her theatrical and musical productions include leading roles in Les Misérables, Evita, Cats, Cabaret, Sunset Boulevard, King Henry VI and Richard III. Her cabaret show Die Straßen von Berlin is based on Berlin, mon amour , her CD, which was published in German and English. Both the show and the recordings contain works by Mischa Spoliansky , Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht arranged for vocals, big band and string quartet by Heinz Walter Florin . Her earlier CDs included music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Claude-Michel Schönberg . In Europe she appeared on the television of Westdeutscher Rundfunk.

In New York City, Haan is a member of the international advisory board of the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts.

family

Her father, Jean Joseph Haan, is a neurologist, her mother worked as an MTA. She has a brother. In 2007 Haan married Klaus Liever.
