Advance Passenger Information System

The advance passenger information system ( English Advance Passenger Information System, APIS ) is an automated system to send personal data on some states - which this data for - especially to the US entry and exit charge.

The airlines in the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany ( BARIG ) have agreed on a standard form for travelers to the USA . The data that the US authorities want to receive from October 4, 2005 prior to departure in Germany are noted there. For the European Union , Directive 2004/82 / EC of the Council of April 29, 2004 provides that transport companies that transport people across the Schengen external borders into the EU, upon request of the authority responsible for border control after the check has been completed, Submit the following data to this authority:

The system of pre-recorded passenger data - Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) - is currently being used to / ex USA and Mexico , Canada , Korea , Syria and Japan .
