The program consisted of a graphic editor for creating the game world maps, the placement of the opponents and other objects and events. After completing a game, the author was able to save it so that it could be played without the Adventure Construction Set and so easily distributed to friends. The ACS came with a full game, Rivers of Light , which was comparable to other role-playing games on the market at the time. The program package also included other sample games that showed the scope of the program.

reception

The program was one of Electronic Arts' greatest achievements in 1985 and received a SPA Gold Disk Award. The US magazine Computer Gaming World praised the range of functions of the program, but criticized the large amount of time required even for simple games.
