Advocacy Coalition

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As advocacy Coalition ( English advocacy , Entering ' ) is in the political science an alliance of different political actors within a policy network referred to. These actors - that can be parties , interest groups , citizens' groups , journalists and scientists - are united by a common political goal. An advocacy coalition does not act as a closed group. Often it is not immediately apparent who belongs to such an advocacy coalition. Only the substantive action to achieve the goal sets this as a coalition.

An example of an advocacy coalition can be media campaigns that support a political process.
