Aeropress with accessories (without the required filters)

Aeropress ( spelling : AeroPress ) is a manual coffee machine consisting of a brewing cylinder, a plunger and a coffee filter that is attached to the underside of the brewing cylinder with a filter holder. In the brewing cylinder, the ground coffee is mixed with the brewing water and the brewing water is pressed with the plunger through a disposable filter into a cup or jug. The Aeropress was invented in 2005 by the American Alan Adler.

Comparison with other brewing methods

In contrast to the ram jug , the coffee is filtered so that no coffee grounds remain in the brewing result. In addition, the coffee can be ground finer. While the plunger can itself functions as a can, with Aeropress you also need a can or cup.

With Aeropress, the brewing water is mixed directly with the ground coffee. Unlike with a filter bag , the brewing time can be determined by the user.
