history

The MTU 1970 Munich founded the factory in Peißenberg to prepare components for marine diesel engines and, later, military and commercial engine components. In 1996, Aerotech Peissenberg GmbH emerged as a 100% subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines . In 1997, Aerotech was taken over by entrepreneur Robert Drosten. In 2004, Aerotech Peißenberg took over Sonomec Industrie in Châteauroux , France, which today operates the small parts division of the Aerotech Group as Aerotech France. In 2006, the Aerotech Czech location was set up in Klatovy , which is now an integral part of the manufacturing process for many components.

In 2011, MT Aerospace , a joint venture between OHB (70%) and Apollo Capital Partners (30%), a German financial investor based in Munich, acquired the Bavarian engine supplier and its sister companies in France and the Czech Republic. In May 2014, the financial investor Apollo Capital Partners took over the majority and industrial management of ATP through a capital increase .
