Afaka font

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Afaka script is a syllabary used to write the Aukaan Creole language in what is now Suriname .

It was invented by Afáka Atumisi in 1910. The script shows no similarities to any other script; the syllables seem to be of acrophonic origin. The writing has some shortcomings, so neither the sounds -m and -n at the end of the syllable nor the tone are marked.
