Lake Agali ( Estonian Agali järv ) is a lake in southern Estonia . Other names of the lake are Akkali järv , Akali järv and Mäksa järv .
Lake Agali is located about one kilometer west of the village of Mäksa in Tartu County . Its area is 13 hectares .
The deepest point of the lake is at 19.5 m in the northern part of the lake. The average depth is 5.81 m. The lake flows weakly into the river Emajõgi (German Embach ).
It is located in a valley created by the old Emajõgi river bed. Especially in the north there is a cultural landscape that has been used as an agricultural area since ancient times .
Today the lake is a popular destination for anglers and nature lovers because of the numerous fish species .
