Agatha Christie Mystery Award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Agatha Christie Krimipreis was a German literary prize for unpublished crime short stories and was awarded from 2003 to 2014. Texts with a maximum of ten manuscript pages on a given topic that changed every year were required. Fischer Taschenbuchverlag published the 25 best stories in an anthology. The awards took place as part of the annual crime festival in Munich , with the three best stories being honored with a material prize. The award was named after the English crime writer Agatha Christie .

In the beginning, the Fischer-Verlag was able to find well-known sponsors and the annual award ceremonies took place every year in a changing, predominantly worthy setting. Since 2011, however, the associated crime anthology has only been published as an e-book and the value of the material prizes for the three award-winning authors has fallen continuously. The last award ceremony took place in 2014.
