Sabine Trinkaus (born May 24, 1969 in Gießen ) is a German writer .

Life

Trinkaus grew up in Glückstadt an der Elbe ( Schleswig-Holstein ), studied librarianship in Bonn and after graduating spent some time in the USA and France. Since her return in 1997 she has lived and worked as a freelance writer in Alfter near Bonn.

"Since 2007 she has lived out her criminal energies in short and long form in writing."

After numerous short story publications, she made her debut as a crime writer in 2012 with the novel Die Schnapsleiche .

Sabine Trinkaus is a member of the Syndikat (association of German-language crime writers).

Awards

  • 2007 special prize in the competition for the Agatha Christie crime prize
  • 2008 1st place in the international short story competition of the city of Mannheim
  • 2008 1st place in Pfungstädter crime thriller competition Mord und Blutwurst (with group Schreibrausch)
  • 2009 1st place Crime Competition Tödliche Wasser Crime Festival Heidelberg (with group Schreibrausch)
  • 2010 1st place Agatha-Christie-Krimipreis for her story Am Tatort
  • 2013 nominated for the Friedrich Glauser Prize in the short crime thriller category
