Ralf Kramp (born November 29, 1963 in Euskirchen ) is a German author, caricaturist, archivist and publisher.

Life

Ralf Kramp was born on November 29, 1963 in Euskirchen and attended the Archbishopric Konvikt in Bad Münstereifel . After graduating from high school, he first learned the profession of painter and varnisher. As a freelance cartoonist, he works a. a. for the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger .

In 1996 he made his debut with the detective novel Tief unterm Laub . Since then, new crime novels have appeared almost every year in the KBV-Verlag , which he has been running since 2002 , and most of them are based in the Eifel . His series about the odd investigator Herbie Feldmann now comprises seven volumes. Kramp is a member of the Syndikat (association of German-speaking crime writers).

Together with his wife Monika, Kramp heads the criminal investigation center in Hillesheim , which also houses the German Crime Archives with around 30,000 volumes, the largest coherent collection of German-language crime literature.

Ralf Kramp has two sons from his first marriage and lives in Flesten in the Vulkaneifel .

  • 2006–2011 member of the Focus Online Murder Commission , which reviewed new crime novels on a weekly basis.
  • 2013 initiator of the crime camp , during which eight German crime writers retired to a villa in Radekow , Brandenburg, for eight days and wrote novel 8 together .
  • In 2013 and 2014, together with Eva Lirot and Hughes Schlueter, Kramp was the author of the official ARD online crime thriller at the Frankfurt Book Fair .
