Uwe Voehl

Uwe Voehl (born April 26, 1959 in Hagen ) is a German writer, editor and editor who mainly - sometimes under a pseudonym (as Monica Mirelli ) - publishes works of the crime genre and fantasy.

Life

Uwe Voehl edited the anthology Die Galgenpuppe while he was still at school . After graduating from high school in Hagener Fichte-Gymnasium and completing his military service in Stade, Voehl studied business administration and law , later he worked as an advertising copywriter and conceptual designer in agencies and mail order companies such as the Otto Group .

Uwe Voehl lives as a freelance author and editor in Bad Salzuflen . He has been writing the monthly column Voehls Welt for the “Salzstreuner” magazine since 2011 , which since November 2016 has been renamed Held Welt . Balthasar Held is a character from Voehl's Lippe crime novels. Voehl also works as a lecturer in creative writing , including for the " Bastei Lübbe Academy" directed by Ann-Kathrin Schwarz and Jan F. Wielpütz . In 2012 Voehl founded “Murder Press” together with Jörg Kleudgen . Since the death of the “father of the series”, Ernst Vlcek, Uwe Voehl has been in charge of the synopsis for the Das Haus Zamis book series . Since 2014, Uwe Voehl has been editor of the Bastei entertainment series Cotton Reloaded , a remake of the successful crime novel series Jerry Cotton . Uwe Voehl has been supervising the Bastei novel series Professor Zamorra since 2017 .

Until the end of 2015 Voehl was a member of the Syndikat authors' association . In 2014 he was a member of the jury for the Hansjörg Martin Prize , and in 2015 he was a member of the Glauser Prize jury for “Krimidebut”.
