Life

Suhas Gopinath was born in Bangalore as the son of an Indian scientist. In 1998, when he was twelve, he put his first website on the Internet: www.coolhindustan.com. It quickly became popular as an Internet forum for Indians around the world and soon became the target of Pakistani "black hat" hackers who changed the site's logo to "CoolPakistan". So he gave up this project again. In 2000, the American company Network Solutions invited the 14-year-old to their company headquarters in San José in Silicon Valley to offer him a job and training in the USA. He refused and decided to become an entrepreneur himself. Since Indian law requires a minimum age of 18 years, he founded the company together with friends online in the USA and chose San José in California as the company headquarters .

Today he is considered the world's youngest CEO . The average age of his now more than 400 employees is 21 years, his oldest employee is 26. In 2003, his company Globals Inc. is said to have not received an order from SingT Inc, a BPO company from Singapore , because the company boss at 17 Years was too young to sign the required preliminary contract ( memorandum of understanding ).

In 2007 Globals Inc looked after more than 200 customers and had agencies in eleven countries. The company generates around 65 percent of its sales in Europe.

On December 2nd, 2007 the European Parliament and the International Association for Human Values in Brussels presented the “Young Achiever Award” to Suhas Gopinath.
