Agencja Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego
The Agencja Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego ( ABW ; German Agency for Internal Security ) is the Polish domestic secret service based in Warsaw . As the government institute for Polish security at home, he tries to neutralize dangers to the Polish state apparatus in good time.
tasks
The tasks of the ABW include:
- Clarification and neutralization of threats to the internal security of the Polish state and its constitution. This includes the protection of the constitution, independence, sovereignty and the inviolability of Polish territory

The ABW has 15 regional offices and has been headed by Krzysztof Bondaryk since January 16, 2008. In 2008 it became known that the ABW plans to scan the address data of all letters in Poland. With this, a database should be set up, the data of which can be evaluated comparatively in writing . Equipping the Polish post with the appropriate scanners should cost 250 million złoty.
