Gian-Matteo Ranzi (born January 31, 1948 in Faenza , Ravenna ) is a former Italian wrestler . He won a bronze medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich in Greco-Roman. Lightweight style.

Career

Gian-Matteo Ranzi began wrestling as a teenager and became a member of CA Faenza , one of the leading Italian wrestling clubs. He wrestled in both styles, Greco-Roman and free style. He was a member of the Italian armed forces.

For the first time he started at an international championship when he was 18 years old. That was in 1966 at the European Championship in Greco-Roman. Style in food .
