Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality , or AHRQ for short , is a US agency that reports to the United States Department of Health and Human Services . It is based in Rockville , Maryland . It was founded in 1989. It runs various programs to improve the quality of the American healthcare system.

The authority is headed by Gopal Khanna .
