VEE (for Visual Engineering Environment ) is a visual programming language from Agilent . It was originally developed by Hewlett-Packard as HP VEE . National Instruments offers its competing product under the name LabVIEW .

commitment

VEE is mainly used in measurement technology and automation technology to create virtual instruments (VIs) such as B. oscilloscopes , digital voltmeters , data loggers , digital switching channels, analog output, waveform generators, counters and much more. VEE is particularly suitable for data acquisition and processing and for controlling the program flow. Embedded Matlab scripting language for complex mathematics, graphic representations and digital signal processing are directly integrated and can be called up via the VEE menu.

With the graphic programming interface, the manufacturer intends to be quick and intuitive to learn, without having to have essential programming knowledge for simple applications.

Runtime environment

VEE includes unlimited licenses for runtime environments . In this way, executable programs created with VEE can be installed or resold on any number of systems without the development environment. From version 8.x, a .NET framework is required at runtime .
