Agrati was a manufacturer of scooters in Como , Italy. The company was founded as a partnership in 1900 (Agrati & Fils) and initially built electric motors, from 1958 also the well-known Capri scooter with a 70 cm³ engine from Garelli, in Germany also with 50 cm³ engines from Sachs . At that time, the company was already operating as a corporation Agrati SRL

In 1961 it merged with Garelli . From then on Garelli two-stroke engines from 50 to 150 cm³ were installed. The name "Agrati-Garelli" was created through the merger. The name Agrati was later dropped; until 1978 the scooters were only produced under the name "Garelli".
