Agria (potato)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Agria

Agria is a medium early, mainly floury potato variety . It is comparatively calm and should therefore be put in the germination mood before planting.

The main use is for processing into french fries and chips . Agria has a rather low tuber base. It is rich in starch and is therefore more suitable for processing into purees or stews.

Agria was the breeding basis for the Fontane and Markies varieties . Agria itself was developed from the Quarta and Semlo varieties .
