AGRIO MZS sro ( spelling : Agrio ) is a Czech manufacturer of agricultural machinery . The company manufactures crop protection sprayers.
According to its own information, Agrio exports around 65 percent of its machines to other Central European countries. In Germany , imports are carried out by three different companies.
history
Agrio was founded in 1993 by Ivan Olšan in Křemže in Okres Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic. At the beginning, mainly Czech crop protection sprayers were modernized and equipped with spray computers from LH-Agro. The booms of the sprayers were also modernized later. In the same year Agrio also acquired the license to build the booms from the German company Gerätebau Soester Börde , and since then complete crop protection sprayers have been manufactured.
In 2000, production was moved from the town center to the Mříč district. For this purpose, the site of a former agricultural operation was acquired, which was modernized and expanded. In 2004 a cooperation with the German Bräutigam GmbH began . Afterwards, Bräutigam's carrier vehicles were equipped with Agrio sprayers. In 2006 another production hall was built at the company's headquarters.
In 2015, the company's first self-propelled crop protection sprayer was presented.
