Agustín Díaz Yanes (* 1950 in Madrid ) is a Spanish director and screenwriter. He is the recipient of the Spanish Goya film award .

biography

Díaz Yanes was born in 1950 in the Spanish capital. In the 1970s he successfully enrolled at the University of Madrid in history and worked like a literary critic. During this time he became interested in the cinema and began writing his first scripts. These should later be adapted for some films.

So far he has worked with several greats, such as Penélope Cruz in the film Sin noticias de Dios or Viggo Mortensen in the film Alatriste , both of which were nominated for the Goya.
