Wilfriede Heyer

Wilfriede Heyer b. Roscher (born October 16, 1937 in Chemnitz ; † August 9, 2017 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Heyer attended elementary school and then began her training as a wholesaler. In 1957 she moved to Lower Saxony and attended the Braunschweig College . Here she passed the university entrance qualification. She became a member of the trade union trade, banking and insurance and joined the SPD in 1958. In her party, she was elected a board member of the sub-district in Braunschweig and the local association in Heidberg . Furthermore, she was a member of the board of the workers' welfare in the district association in Braunschweig and board member of the German-Tunisian society in the city association in Braunschweig. Between 1972 and 1976 she was a citizen of the youth welfare committee of the city of Braunschweig.

Public offices

From 1976 to 1982 she was an SPD councilor in Braunschweig . Here she was elected deputy chairman of the youth welfare committee and was a member of the budget committee and the administrative committee. She was also a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the tenth and eleventh electoral periods from June 21, 1982 to June 20, 1990. In her first term of office she was secretary of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 22, 1982 to June 20, 1986. In her second term of office, she was chair of the committee for environmental issues from July 10, 1986 to June 20, 1990.
