Ahmad Matloub

Ahmad Matloub ( Arabic أحمد مطلوب, DMG Aḥmad Maṭlūb ; * 1936 in Tikrit ; † July 21, 2018 ) was an Iraqi linguist and author. He was Minister of Culture of Iraq (1967) and President of the Iraqi Science Academy (المجمع العلمي العراقي), the highest scientific institution in Iraq.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( english A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English: "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ..." ) (October 13, 2007).
