Ahmad ibn Arabshah
Ahmad ibn Arabschah ( Arabic أحمد بن محمد بن عربشاه, DMG Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿArabšāh ; * 1389 ; † 1450 ) was a Syrian historian and translator. He wrote a work Aǧāʾib al-maqdūr fī nawāʾib Tīmūr ("The Miracles of Fate in the History of Timur") about the Mongolian conqueror Tamerlan (Timur Lang), which was translated into English by Sanders . Because he was very critical of this ruler, his work paints a picture of him that is far closer to the truth than that of other biographers.
