Sheikh Ahmad ibn Said Al Maktum ( Arabic أحمد بن سعيد آل مكتوم, DMG Aḥmad b. Saʿīd Āl Maktūm ; * 1958 ) is an entrepreneur from the United Arab Emirates .

He is the son of Sheikh Said bin Maktum , the Emir of Dubai from 1912 to 1958. Sheikh Ahmad is nine years younger than the current Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum , but his uncle and not his nephew.

He graduated from the University of Denver . He is Chairman of Emirates Airline , President of the Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai World .
