The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) (also abbreviated to Gamport ) is the port authority in the West African state of Gambia . The state-owned company operates the seaport of Banjul and operates the ferries on the Gambia River . This service was transferred to the GPA in 2001 by the Gambia Public Transport Corporation (GPTC). The turnover of the company, created in 1972, was 378 million Dalasi for the 2005 financial year . The company's share capital is 16.3 million dalasi.

The Gambia Ports Authority Football Club is also represented in the highest Gambian football class, the GFA League First Division . They have already won the championship five times.
