Ahmed al Haddad

Sheikh Al-Habib Ahmad bin Abd Al-Aziz al-Haddad , in short: Ahmed al Haddad ( Arabic أحمد الحداد) is the Grand Mufti of Dubai , United Arab Emirates . He is the director of the Dubai Fatwa Administration in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities . Al-Haddad is a signatory of the Amman Message ( Amman Message ), which confirms the similarities between all Muslim faiths and sentenced accusations of apostasy. He earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Sharia at Umm-al-Qura University in Mecca . In October 2007 he was one of the 138 Muslim signatories of the open letter A common word between you and us, addressed to Christian dignitaries , an appeal for peace and cooperation between the two world religions.
