Ahti (also Ahto ) is the god of the sea and fishing in Finnish mythology . He is depicted as a man with a beard made of moss .

Ahti is the man from Vellamo , with whom he lives in the underwater palace of Ahtola . Also Näkki and Iku-Turso live there with him. He probably owns two of the fragments of the sampo that was destroyed after a battle.

The Finnish Viking Metal band Ensiferum has a song of the same name on their 2007 album "Victory Songs", which is about the god.
