Ainigma

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ainigma was a German rock band from Garmisch-Partenkirchen that was active in the first half of the 1970s. Its core consisted of the musicians Willy (vocals and organ) and Michael Klüter (drums) as well as Wolfgang Netzer (guitar, bass).

history

The band members Michael Klüter and Wolfgang Netzer were just 15, Willy Klüter 17 years old as Ainigma 1973 LP Diluvium in the parish hall shots of Garmisch and as a private pressing on the Arc - Label published. Today it is considered a rarity; the jpc online catalog calls it “one of the most wanted collector's items in Germany” and in August 2013 the record collector magazine Oldie-Markt stated its value at 338.40 euros . The album was later re-released on Compact Disc by Little Wing of Refugees and Amber Soundroom , and in 2006 on the Garden of Delight label . The ideas for the pieces of music came from Willy Klüter, who later became successful as a producer and composer of hits and folk music.

style

Ainigma played mostly Krautrock influenced by British rock bands like Atomic Rooster , which mixed elements of blues , psychedelic and progressive rock .

Ragazzi - website for exciting music describes the band's sound as "[...] dirty and [it] sounds heavily like a garage." The keyboards roar, the guitar has a fat, hard sound and the loudly mixed drums are played beautifully powerful. [...] The (cheap) garage sound [...] has weaknesses especially in the longer instrumental parts, but these quirks are particularly charming. "
