Air France is a band from Gothenburg . In 2006 her first work, the EP On Trade Winds and in 2008 the second EP No Way Down appeared on the Swedish label Sincerely Yours , both of which were released on CD and download. No Way Down was also released as a limited edition as 12 inch vinyl on the Japanese label Every Conversation.

No way down

No Way Down consists of six tracks which, closely interwoven, flow into each other and therefore give the appearance of a concept album . No Way Down borrows style elements from classic pop songwriting, such as repetitive verses. The production mixes these elements with influences from Balearic house sounds and the form of sampling borrowed from hip-hop . On the track Collapsing at your doorstep , for example, two children's voices can be heard enigmatically saying “Sorta like a dream, isn't it? No, better ”repeat. The American music portal Pitchfork Media lists No Way Down with a rating of 8.6 points in 14th place of the 50 best releases of 2008.

Remixes

Air France also produces remixes for other bands. A remix compilation by the British band Saint Etienne (Band) appeared , whose album Foxbase Alpha was edited by Richard X and Air France, among others . Air France remixes for bands like Friendly Fires and Taken by Trees were also released .
