Aircraft Classification Number

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Aircraft Classification Number (ACN) (dtsch. Load efficiency classification number ) describes the loading, a certain type of aircraft exerts on airports.

According to the pavement classification number (PCN) (dtsch. Viability Classification Number ), a dimensionless comparison figure from the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO 1981 introduced. The ACN value corresponds to that of the PCN value. The value indicates the load effect and not the load itself. The higher the value, the higher the load that an aircraft type exerts on the floor covering . The ACN value of an aircraft therefore also depends on its payload .
