The Aitken Cove is a bay on the south coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located immediately northeast of Cape Whitson .
It was mapped during the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) under the direction of the Scottish polar explorer William Speirs Bruce . Bruce named the bay after ANG Aitken, a lawyer for the expedition.
