The Ajuda Sport Clube de Bissau , usually Ajuda Sport de Bissau or Ajuda SC , is a sports club from the Guinea-Bissau capital of Bissau . He is best known for his football section .
history
The club was founded on October 10, 1969 in Ajuda, a district of the city of Bissau, then the capital of the Portuguese colony Portuguese Guinea.
After independence in 1974, the club often played in the top division of the country, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .
In 1981 the club won its first title, winning the Taça Nacional da Guiné-Bissau cup .
In 1993 the club ran into financial difficulties and was disqualified by the national football association Federação de Futebol da Guiné-Bissau at the end of the 1993/94 season after failing to appear in several league and cup games.
Since the forced relegation in 1994, the Ajuda SC occurs in the second division Campeonato Nacional da 2.ª Divisão .
On January 16, 2014, the UN Special Representative for Guinea-Bissau, José Ramos-Horta , visited the Ajuda district in Bissau. He praised the diverse sporting, social and cultural activities of the club, which give courage and hope to the young people in the district in particular.
