Accadian concise dictionary

The Akkadian Concise Dictionary (abbreviation "AHw") is a dictionary of the Akkadian language .

The work was edited using the lexical estate of Bruno Meissner von Wolfram von Soden . It was published by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences in deliveries from 1959 to 1981 by Harrassowitz Verlag . The deliveries made three volumes.

The more extensive standard dictionary of the Akkadian language in English is the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary (CAD). In 1999 the one-volume Concise Dictionary of Akkadian appeared , which was created on the basis of the concise dictionary with references to the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary and other sources.
