Aksel Poulsen
Aksel Poulsen (born August 12, 1983 ) is a Faroese badminton player .
Career
In 1999 Aksel Poulsen won a title at the Faroese Junior Championships for the first time when he won the men's singles. Four years later he won the adult doubles for the first time with Bjartur Lamhauge .
At the Island Games 2005 he first drew international attention. At this event he won the silver medal in the men's singles behind Bror Madsen . In 2007 badminton was not part of the games program, so Aksel Poulsen only started there again in 2009. This time, however, he failed in the individual semi-finals and was third. However, he held himself harmless in the men's doubles and in the team competition, where he won gold both times. Poulsen was able to repeat his success in doubles in 2011 at the Island Games, but this time he finished third with the team.
