The term activation describes the triggering of inner excitations ( emotions ) or the stimulation of the vegetative nervous system as a drive (human) behavior and the willingness to learn. The activation not only triggers emotions, it also controls other neurovegetative and hormonal processes as well as numerous motor actions such as attack or flight reactions . Overall, the activation of the autonomic nervous system puts the body in a state of maximum motivation and attention .
