Activist of the Five Year Plan
The honorary title of activist of the five-year plan was a state award of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The foundation took place on November 1, 1953. The honorary title honored the best workers , masters , technicians and engineers of the GDR's state- owned companies . The award usually took place on May 1st or October 13th each year or on other special days of the respective company or the republic. The title holder received a bronze medal, a cash bonus and an activist pass.
The title was replaced in 1960 by the activist of the seven-year plan .
