The honorary title Activist of the Seven Year Plan , donated on May 12, 1960, was a state award of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded in the form of a badge. The predecessor was the honorary title activist of the five-year plan . As with the previous model, this honorary title could be used to honor all workers of the state-owned companies, the award to employees of the private sector was new. The title was awarded until 1968, then discontinued in the course of 1969. It was replaced by the new honorary title of activist for socialist work .

The gold-colored medal with a round middle part made of aluminum, the diameter of which is 32 mm, shows on its obverse a tape drawn down with the inscription: ACTIVIST . Above it rests the red enamelled middle field with an oversized 7 from which a circle starts. The number is flanked by an ear of wheat on the left and right. There is a gear segment under the number.

The lapel shows the embossed lettering in the middle: IN / SOCIALIST / WAY TO LIVE, / REQUIRED TO / SOCIALIST / WAY / TO WORK . The medal was worn on a 24.5 × 18.5 mm, red enameled metal clasp, which was crossed horizontally and in the middle by a 4 mm wide golden stripe on which the year (1960–1966) of the award can be seen. For the years 1967 to 1969 there were no more dates, only an embossed bar.
