Each time the show took place in a different location in front of a larger audience. The program served to make the socialist idea of the government known to the population. Among other things, Chavez encouraged the population to call during the broadcast and present their problems so that he could solve them or forward them to the responsible officials.

At the beginning of his presidency in 1999, Chavez had been in the media up to 40 hours a week.

After Chavez from 2011 in Cuba a cancer treatment had to undergo, the programs were rare. The last broadcast took place on January 29, 2012.
