Al-Baʿādsch ( Arabic البعاج, DMG al-Baʿāǧ , also al-Ba'aj or Ba'ej ) is a small Iraqi town in the Ninawa Governorate .
The place came under the control of the so-called Islamic State in 2014 and was recaptured in June 2017 by fighters of the People's Mobilization Committee . The Iraqi city of Sinjar is to the north of the town .
