Al-Haq

Al-Haq ( Arabic الحق, DMG al-Ḥaqq ; literally translated "law"; Also known as "Law in the Service of Man" in English) is a Palestinian human rights organization . It was founded in 1979 by lawyers and is based in Ramallah . Al-Haq has set itself the task of documenting human rights violations, regardless of the origin of the perpetrators. It is directed by Shawan Jabarin .

• 1989: Carter Menil Award for Human Rights (together with B'Tselem )
• 2009: The Geuzen Medal (with B'Tselem )
