The Al-Shamal Stadium is a planned football stadium to be built in the city of Madinat al-Shamal , the seat of the al-Shamal community in Qatar . It is scheduled to open in summer 2017 [obsolete] .
It was considered a possible venue for the soccer World Cup in 2022 and should hold 45,330 seats. It is planned by the architecture office Albert Speer & Partner of the German architect Albert Speer junior .
