Al Mayadeen

Al mayadeen ( Arabic : الميادين, DMG mayadin, English al mayadeen written German and al-Mayadeen ) is a pan-Arab news channel , which was first broadcast on June 11, 2012. Lebanon. The news channel intends to reduce the influence of the popular Arab news channels Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya , both news channels were founded by Arab Gulf states.

Ghassan bin Jiddo is the station's director. He was the director of Al Jazeeras in Iran and Beirut, and ran a popular talk show. He left the Qatar-funded Al Jazeera channel in 2011 because of the channel's coverage of the conflict in Syria. From 2012, Al Mayadeen represented the point of view of Hezbollah , Iran and the Syrian government . The news channel has a network of journalists in the Palestinian Territories of Gaza, Ramallah and Jerusalem.
